ROUNDED BACK

If a client has a rounded back in planks and/or table-top positions their upper body (and core) might be the problem. To help:

  • Have client pull hands apart to open the back

  • Soften elbows & wrap biceps in to hug the ribs to use the lats and take tension out of the neck and shoulders

  • Will need to strengthen back, lats, shoulders, chest, and core

ROTATION ISSUES

If a client struggles to keep one half of their body stable while the other twists or is in a twisted position, their thoracic spine might be the issue. Great exercises to help:

  • Torso Twists

  • Twister Series

  • Mermaid w/ a Twist

  • Twisted Plank Crunch

PRESSING WITH ROUNDED BACK

If a client has a rounded back during pressing motions (heavy springs), the tension is most likely too heavy for them or the angle for their body has made it challenging for them to maintain a neutral spine. To help:

  • Lighten your client tension and see if they can maintain a neutral spine

  • Change the angle of your client’s body to ensure client can hold a neutral spine

ROUNDED BACK X PULLING

If a client struggles to keep a neutral spine during pulling leg moves (lunges) they may be struggling with flexibility, balance, glute, and core strength:

  • bring them up to the pole (or two)

  • add additional tension support at the front, if at the back and constant, bring them to the front

  • have them bring their heel to the front of the carriage

  • continue to HOC during core // obliques

WRIST PAIN

If a client complains about wrist issues, please refer to “Speciality Groups” for tips. To help can encourage wrist wraps:

  • turn knuckles to the floor

  • bring thumbs out to add another layer of balance in the hands

SWEATY HANDS

If a client struggles with regularly slipping on the machine due to sweaty hands, show clients and have them try on the Arebesk Grip Gloves:

  • tack supports grip

  • absorbs sweat

  • wash inside out for best results and hand to try

  • slight wrist support

PALM X GRIP PAIN

If a client complains about palm or grip pain, encourage the gelometrics. Just like with running in supportive shoes, this workout requires support as well. Gelometrics:

  • has a padded palm to support pressure and relieve nerve pain in hand

  • tack supports grip

  • absorbs sweat

  • wash inside out for best results and hand to try
