What You Can Expect from Core (LP) Fitness!

We are taking some of your most asked questions and featuring the answers below!

How many people are in a class?
There are a maximum of 8-12 people in a group class in order to give you optimal attention and form correction.

How long are the classes?
Each class is a 50-minute, total-body session with a focus on core, obliques, arms and cheeks.

What is Lagree?
The Lagree Method is a high-intensity, low-impact exercise method, that builds lean muscle, endurance and core strength quickly. It uses bodybuilding principals such as time under tension which removes breaks from the workouts and grants users the ability to sweat, shake, and persevere through each class. Many Lagree movements incorporate the use of 600 muscles at once making this method even more time-efficient for people on the go and those looking for quick/lasting results. Although sometimes referred to as Pilates-inspired strength training, Lagree is a strength training method rooted in Pilates principals of mobility, flexibility, and core work.

When are class times?
Classes are offered everyday of the week. You can check out class times here for Berkley + Rochester Hills.

Are you still offering 1:1 training?
YES! In fact, we have a dedicated private training room at Berkley and availability at Rochester Hills that allows for more times to meet your needs. Email us at info@corelpfitness.com or rochesterhills@corelpfitness.com or schedule a NEW Free Client Consultation to get set up with private or semi-private training.

Who are the trainers?
Our trainers all come from various fitness backgrounds and have gone through months of training with Core (LP).. Learn more about them HERE!

Are there beginner vs. advanced classes?
At this time Core (LP) offers four different classes:

  • THE TEMPO

  • THE DROP

  • THE TREBLE

  • THE BASSLINE:

Read more about the classes HERE! We also offer Private and Semi-Private training as well as Studio Rentals for your private parties.

    How do I sign up?
Your FREE new client consult is where you meet one of our coaches, see the reformer up close, and figure out the right path for you at Core (LP).

You'll probably side-eye the reformer the first time you see it. But by your third class, you'll be talking about it at dinner parties. The consult is what gets you from one to the other..

It's my first class, what do I need?
If this is your first time at a Core (LP) group or 1:1 session, bring water, a towel (if needed) and grip socks. If you do not have grip socks, they will be available for purchase. For sanitary reasons, we do not offer rental grip socks. Please arrive 10 minutes early for a proper machine demo. Lastly, always let instructors know about injuries, current pregnancies, postpartum separation, or other medical considerations that instructors would be privy to knowing.

What do I wear to my first pilates class?

We recommend wearing comfortable, fitted workout clothes that allow you to move freely. Leggings, bike shorts, and a tank top or fitted tee are all great options. Since you'll be moving through a variety of positions, clothing that stays in place tends to be the most comfortable.

You'll also want to bring a pair of grip socks. Grip socks are required for both safety and sanitation, helping you stay secure on the machine while preventing slips during class.

Most importantly, wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident. We'll take care of the rest!
