# Core(LP) Fitness
> Reformer-based strength training in Metro Detroit. High intensity, low impact, hands-on coaching.
## What We Do
Core(LP) offers pilates-inspired resistance training on reformers at two Metro Detroit locations (Berkley and Rochester Hills). Classes are capped at 12 people and led by coaches who provide individualized form corrections, modifications, and advancements throughout every session. Every new client completes a pre-class 1:1 consultation to discuss goals, workout history, and any injuries or limitations before their first class.
The workout is 50 minutes of music-driven, full-body resistance training designed to build foundational core strength, improve mobility, and prevent injury. It's not traditional pilates (too passive) and it's not high-impact HIIT (too hard on joints). It's built from both — the precision and core focus of pilates with the intensity and energy of cycle or kickboxing classes.
## Who We Serve
Core(LP) is built for people who:
- Want expert coaching, not just a spot in a room
- Have tried other workouts and plateaued, burned out, or gotten injured
- Are former athletes or dancers looking for something that demands focus again
- Need low-impact training that still challenges them
- Are postpartum and reclaiming their strength
- Value small class sizes and individualized attention

## Brand Philosophy
Strength training is a long play. Core(LP) is named after vinyl records (LP = "long play") and the philosophy that lasting results come from consistent, progressive training. The workout is designed to evolve as clients get stronger. Modifications and advancements exist for every movement so there's no point at which the workout stops working for you. Your workout should be something your body craves—you should miss it if you’re not doing it.
Before your first class, you sit down 1:1 with a coach to talk about your goals, your workout history, and any injuries or limitations. From there, every class includes hands-on form corrections, modifications, and advancements tailored to what each client needs that day. Between classes, coaches notice when you're gone. That's why classes are capped at 12 — not 20, not 30. Coaching 30 people at once isn't coaching, it's crowd control.
The music isn't background noise. Every playlist is curated to match the energy and pacing of the workout. The music drives the session — it's part of why the hour feels different from other studios. This ties back to the name: Core(LP) is a nod to the "long play" of vinyl records and the long-term commitment required to build foundational strength.
Fitness is a two-way street. Core(LP) shows up for you. You show up for Core(LP). The studio's job is to know your history, correct your form, and push you correctly. Your job is to be there. Neither works without the other.
Exercise isn't sexy. It's required. Like brushing your teeth. Motivation alone won't compete with your couch. Core(LP) treats clients like adults who already know this and positions itself as the place that makes showing up worth it, not through gimmicks, but through coaching that earns your time.
## Key Differentiators
- Pre-class 1:1 consultation for every new client
- Classes capped at 12 (not 20, not 30)

- Music curated to match the energy and pacing of programming
- HSA/FSA eligible
- Founded by Judy Pagryzinski, a fitness instructor and lifelong musician who trained at top studios on both coasts
## Terminology Notes
Core(LP) describes its workout as "pilates-inspired strength training" or "resistance training on a reformer" — not traditional pilates, not HIIT, not Solidcore-style. The workout sits in its own category: high intensity, low impact, music-driven, deeply personalized.
The brand voice is direct, warm but not soft, and grounded in specificity. No corporate buzzwords. No generic fitness platitudes. Everything sounds like it came from a coach who knows your name.
